Hallo,

I am looking for MAN KAT A1.1 8x8 or A1 8x8. Not in a great rush so happy to wait for a good condition / reasonably priced one.
Just the chassis, hopefully with Rotzler winch and Hutchinson/Michelin 16.00R20 (would be nice but not a deal breaker).
Already registered would be great as I am based abroad and Tuv/registration would help the transfer.

Recently I missed one on eBay Kleinanzeigen for EUR 41k, was a day or two too late

I haven't seen any A1.1 8x8 being offered by VEBEG yet. About 500 pcs have been built, 432 as 8x8 Multi and approx. 70 pcs for the bridge system.
I would assume, that those trucks will still be in service for a minimum of 10 more years - if not longer.

The "benefit" of the A1 versions had been, that many of the A1 versions were procured to serve as the truck base for a very expensive Anti-Aircraft system by the Luftwaffe. By decommissioning the AA units, trucks were sold off (they weren't general purpose cargo trucks). Most of the A1 8x8 for the Airforce had been the ones with 2900mm width, with the exception of about 40-50 pcs with the rear crane built on a 2500mm chassis.

The A1 8x8 you are looking for is the X07 version of which approx 300 pcs have been built, mostly the Faltstrassenleger. About 50 pcs with the rear crane and only a handful of A1 8x8 have been built with a normal bridge.
