Windenseilrolle
Windenseilrolle
I am looking for the cable guidance from the rear to the front. See pictures.
I have mounted a winch at the back - between chassis of my kat a1 6x6 x24 and would like to have the possibility to winch also at the front. The kat chassis has the mounting points for the parts of the guidance system on the pictures. They should bolt directly on.
Thanks for any advice on finding these parts.
Feel free to answer in german.

Re: Windenseilrolle
Hello,
So far everything looks OK.
what is missing?
Do you havep pictures from the rear end, where the final pulley, which is changing the direction from rear to front should be located?
Regards Hugo

Re: Windenseilrolle
Hello Hugo,
I am missing all the parts in the pictures ( toke those pictures at swinkel trucks ). My kat a1 6x6 didn’t had a winch originally, but my chassis has the mounting points for these parts. It would be very easy to mount the original cable guidance parts.

Re: Windenseilrolle
Ah, I see.....
I dont't have spares, but I have an 8x8 with winch.
So I could measure the parts, make drawings and manufacture them.
But of course, that has a price......
And i*m only talking about pulleys, massive cylinders (like in Picture 1 and 2) and the shafts.
All the carriers are mounted at your frame?
Of course, I can also build the carriers..... but that's even more expensive.
I would propose, if you get some parts, but not all, I make the rest tailormade.
If it's worth to you some money, I can make all. I would'nt charge something extra, just the real costs. But that even will not be cheap.

Re: Windenseilrolle
Hello,
for a normal winch you must take some extra precautions.
the pully nearest to the winch must have a minimum distance to the drum and must guide the cable staight to the middle of the drum (in a 90 degree angle.) Otherwise the cable will not spill properly.
The maximum deviation, when the cable goes to one side of the drum, should be less than 4 degrees.
So you need at least one more pully than the original system.

Re: Windenseilrolle
This is the reason why I didn’t ask for the rear pully. I have fabricated myself the pulley system at the back. Next week it will be mounted. Will put a picture on here to show you.
Re: Windenseilrolle
I have the right original pulleys ! Wouter from Desert Foxx delivered the hard to find parts.
