They replaced one rear live axle to another without a drive line. It`actually only a 6x2. So no front live axle! The activ rear one has some air springs as an add on. Strange things going on there.

Be very very careful with this truck. It seems to me they changed nearly every major component to something different. They changed also the gear box to one i think without a torque converter but 16 gears with split. The engine is also not the original. The drive train in this first KAT trucks are very spezial. It has original an one block design with 4 components. Deutz BF8L413F V8 aircooled engine with fix mounted torque converter with fix mounted 6 speed tranny and fix mounted transfer case. Thats all one big, almost 2t hevy peace of metal. No there is an water cooled i6 MAN engine istalled.

I would say there are no documents with they you can work if you need a service or have to do some repair work. That is a lot of wotk to get all the information you need to work with. I don`t wanne deal with it.

There is no clear access to the engine room compartment i can see on the pictures. I would name it major pain in the ass to work without a good access to the engine. It doesn`t look to me there is a smart mechanism to get easy access. There is a tunnel from the cap to the living compartment, that`s make the access to the engine worst i would say.

Thats my opinion to this truck, I`ve never seen it in real live!

Right word said. As far as I am concerned I would keep my distance. No documentation and lots of things, in my humble opinion too many, altered compared to the original 7t mil gl.

thank you for your reply, i could have considered that truck if the engine had been some obscure civilian engine model. but an unoriginal engine is a no go for me. just could not figure out what the seller was writing regarding that engine.
